[Blog Update] What’s New

I believe that it has been close to a year, if not a little over a year since the last time I really kept to any sort of semi-regular posting regimen.  I took an unexpected hiatus from my previous blog (which has now been taken offline as I make this my new home), and needed some time before officially making the move to start over.  A warm welcome to the newcomers, and a heartfelt thanks to the loyal subscribers.

Those of you who have followed this blog from the start have probably noticed quite a few changes.  The most obvious would probably be the layout, how I titled options in the top menu, and even the message sent out to subscribers.  Others, some more subtle, are new features and what I hope will be seen as improvements to the site.

Here’s what’s different:

  • There is now a contact form.  Rather than have my email out there and increasing the likelihood for spam, this is something I’ve set up for readers to easily get in touch with me.  You can find the contact form by hovering your mouse over “links” in the main navigation and then selecting “contact form,” or you can just simply click here.
  • Cutting Edge Creativity has Flipboard Projects.  Flipboard is an awesome social media platform for sharing news articles and clips from all over the web.  Currently, I am running three projects simultaneously; two on a monthly basis, and one that does not have a specific update schedule.  You can find these by hovering your mouse over “links” in the main navigation and then selecting “Flipboards,” or you can go directly to the projects by clicking here.
  • Twitter name change.  I’ve been chewing on a different name (the original handle I was using was always meant to be a placeholder) since my first day of using the platform.  Finally, I was able to come up with one last night.  Same account, just a fresh, new label.
  • Format for ratings.  Blog posts containing ratings will now go by (what is hopefully) a more straightforward and easier to understand format.

As for upcoming features, I do have some in mind regarding expansion on the social media front, but we’ll see how things go first.  I’m all for one step at a time.

That’s all for now!  Stay tuned for more content!
